Single Joint Sunday Services

At the beginning of each season of the church, there will not be two services on Sunday mornings (8am) & (10am), as is the custom. Instead, the Cathedral clergy will conduct a single joint Service at 9am on the Sundays as follows:

28 Nov 2010 Advent Sunday
26 Dec 2010 Christmas Sunday
9 January 2011 Epiphany Sunday
13 March 2011 First Sunday in Lent
17 April 2011 Palm Sunday
24 April 2011 Easter Day
12 June 2011 Day of Pentecost
19 June 2011 Trinity Sunday
27 Nov 2011 Advent Sunday
25 Dec 2011 Christmas SundayMusic

The Cathedral has two choirs, the Senior Choir and St. Ambrose (Junior) choir. The choirs robe in Altarnate months at both services each Sunday. They sing the hymns assigned; chant the psalms; offer melody befitting the worship of God; and accompany the clergy on occasions where melodious choral and antiphonal chants are required.

Each year, the Cathedral organizes a Cantata. The senior choir and invited artists and/or choristers usually perform for the Cathedral’s family and invited guests.

Music education classes are conducted for interested parishioners who would like to develop and enhance their musical talent for the Church. The Cathedral also supports individuals at local music academies in central Monrovia.
